ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Querulant

Querulant is a big, fancy word that means someone who wants justice and fairness very badly, but they don't always ask for it in a nice or polite way. It's like when little kids want a toy or candy so badly, and they keep asking and complaining until they get what they want, even if it's not the best way to handle the situation.

Sometimes, people who are considered querulants will keep asking for something over and over again, even when they've been told "no" or when they're told that they can't have what they want. They might get angry or upset, and they might even try to argue with other people to get their way.

Additionally, some people who act like querulants might complain about a lot of different things, even if they're not really that important or even if they're not related to the situation at hand. This can be frustrating for other people who are trying to work with or help the querulant.

Overall, being a querulant isn't always a bad thing, because it shows that someone is passionate about what they're fighting for. However, it's important to remember that being kind and respectful to others is also very important, and that we can't always get everything we want.
