Radial artery puncture is when a doctor or nurse puts a tiny hole in your wrist to check your blood. They use a special needle called a cannula that goes into your radial artery, which is a blood vessel in your wrist. Once the needle is in, the doctor or nurse takes a little bit of blood to test it to make sure you're healthy. It feels like a little pinch, but it's over really fast. They might put a bandage on your wrist to keep it clean while it's healing, and you'll be able to go home soon afterwards.
