Radiation resistance

Radiation resistance is the ability of something to withstand, or remain unaffected by, radiation. Radiation is a type of energy that travels in waves, and can be found in natural sources like the sun, or from things like radiation treatments for cancer. Anything that is radiation resistant has the ability to not be damaged by radiation. This can be useful for things like spacecraft, which must resist radiation from deep space when travelling for long periods of time. The material used to make the spacecraft must be radiation resistant so that it does not get destroyed by the radiation.
