Radio Propagation is like when you shout in a cave or throw a stone in a lake: sound and energy bounce off of walls and things, and ripple outwards. Radio Propagation is the same, except instead of sound or stones, we're talking about waves of energy, known as radio waves. Radio waves travel outwards in all directions, just like sound waves or stones in a lake! These radio waves are sent out by things like TV and radio towers and then get picked up by things like cell phones and radios in cars. The radio waves travel through the air, bouncing off buildings and other objects, until they reach the things that can pick them up and use them.
