Fading

Fading is when something becomes less and less noticeable. This can be with sounds, colors, or pictures. For example, if you are in a movie theater and you hear the music playing at the beginning of the movie, it will start loud but then get softer and softer as the movie goes on, so it's like the sound is fading away. Or if you have a bright shirt, but it has been washed many times, it might start to fade and become a lighter color.
