Attenuation distortion

Attenuation distortion is when the sound you hear becomes lower in volume quickly. Imagine you have some speakers, and you turn the volume up really loud. If the speakers can't handle being at full volume, the sound might become distorted and quieter. That's attenuation distortion. It's like the sound is running away from you so fast that it becomes quiet.
