ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rail roko

Rail roko is when a group of people gather near train tracks to obstruct the train from moving forward. It is like when you block someone's path with your body so they cannot walk past you.

Sometimes people do this as a form of protest to show that they are upset or angry about something. It's like when you get upset with your friend and refuse to speak to them.

People may do rail roko to draw attention to their cause and get other people to join in and support them. It's like when you want your parents to listen to you about something and you yell until they pay attention.

However, rail roko can also be dangerous because trains are very big and heavy and can cause serious accidents if they cannot stop in time. It's like if you were playing with a toy car and it suddenly crashed into you because it was going too fast.

So, while it is okay to express your feelings in a peaceful way, it is important to do it in a safe way that doesn't hurt yourself or other people.
