Railway speed records are when trains travel faster than ever before. It's like a race but with trains instead of people. Trains have to be specially designed and built to be able to travel at high speeds, and the engineers controlling them have to be very careful to make sure they stay on the tracks and that the passengers are safe. The current world record for the fastest train is over 600km per hour because it is one of the fastest land vehicles in the world.
