Rain gauge

A rain gauge is a tool that helps us measure how much rain has fallen. It's like a special "bucket" that we put outside to collect raindrops. When the rain falls into the bucket, it fills up to a certain level, like a glass of water being filled up.

Once the rain stops, we can take a look at the rain gauge and see how much water is in it. This tells us how much rain fell in that particular area. Just like how you can tell how much juice you drank by looking at the juice box after you finished it!

Knowing how much rain falls in an area can help us understand the weather and the environment. It can also help us make decisions about planting crops and watering gardens. So, rain gauges are important tools for measuring and understanding how much rain falls in a certain area.
