Rainwater Basin

Okay kiddo, have you noticed that when it rains, water falls from the sky and it makes everything wet? So sometimes when we have a lot of rain, we need to know how to save that water so we can use it later when we need it. That's where the rainwater basin comes in.

So a rainwater basin is just a place where we can collect and save rainwater. It's like a big bowl or a bathtub, but for water that falls from the sky instead of being filled with a faucet. Sometimes, we build it in the ground like a big hole, or we can make it from concrete or plastic too.

When rain falls on roofs, roads, and other surfaces, it might just run off and go to the sewer or drain, but if we have a rainwater basin, we capture that rainwater instead. We can use the water later for things like watering plants, washing cars, or even to flush toilets.

The rainwater basin works kind of like a piggy bank. We save the rainwater when it comes, and then we can use it later when we need it. Water is important for us to live, so it's good to be able to save it when we can.
