Rank-Raglan Mythotype is a way to categorize different types of heroes. These heroes appear in myths, folktales and stories from around the world. The Rank-Raglan Mythotype system assigns a "rank" to the hero, which refers to their social class, and a "raglan" which is a type of personality or trait the hero has. Based on a combination of these two things, the hero can belong to one of 22 different mythotypes. Some examples of mythotypes are the "Outsider", the "Wronged", and the "Intrepid Explorer".
