Rare breed (agriculture)

A rare breed of animal is one that is not very common, or is in danger of becoming extinct. They can be plants or animals such as cows, horses, chickens, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, and other farm animals. Farmers take extra care of rare breeds, making sure they have enough food, water and space to play, sleep, and stay healthy. This helps protect the breed from becoming extinct and keeps it available for future generations.
