ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rate of exploitation

Rate of exploitation is when people use up more natural resources than can be replaced. It happens when people take more from nature than nature can give back. People can use more of things like air, water, mineral, and plants than nature can replace. As a result, these resources become more and more scarce, and people have less of them to use. That is why it is important to think about how to reduce the rate of exploitation and find ways to use resources responsibly.
