Ravanahatha

Ravanahatha is an old stringed instrument from India. It was named after a legendary Indian king called Ravana who was very musical. The instrument is made from a gourd (a round, hard vegetable) and two strings made from horse hair or gut (the stringy inside part of an animal's intestines). You pluck the strings with your fingers to make music!
