Alright kiddo, so you know how during church, we have bread and wine together? Well, some people believe that when a priest blesses and prays over the bread and wine, it actually becomes the body and blood of Jesus Christ. This is called the "Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist."
It's like when we play with playdough - we can make it into different shapes, but it's still made of the same substance (the dough). So when the bread and wine become the body and blood of Jesus, they look the same on the outside, but on the inside, they have become something different.
This is important because when we eat the body and drink the blood of Jesus, we are getting closer to him and showing our love and devotion to him. It's kind of like sharing a really special meal with someone you love.
Hope that helps, kiddo!
