Reciprocating saw

A reciprocating saw is a special tool that is used to cut things like wood or metal. Imagine you have a big jigsaw puzzle that needs to be cut into smaller pieces. A reciprocating saw works kind of like a big, powerful puzzle cutter.

The saw has a long, metal blade with teeth on one edge. When you turn it on, the blade moves back and forth really fast, almost like magic. You can hold the saw with both hands and move it back and forth to cut through whatever you need to cut.

It's kind of like using a big, noisy robot arm to cut things for you. But you need to be very careful when using it, because the blade is very sharp and can cut through things very quickly. So always make sure you have adult supervision when using a reciprocating saw!
