ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Red zone (computing)

Red zone is an area in your computer's memory (a place to store information) where the computer can store things it needs to quickly access. The red zone is very important because it can help the computer process information faster and more efficiently. By using the red zone, the computer can store both data from programs you’re using and information it needs to run your system. This means that when you want to do something, your computer has easy access to all the information it needs and can do it more quickly.
