ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Redox (operating system)

Redox is like a really big and complicated toy box for grown-ups that helps them run their computers.

You know how you have a toy box for your toys, and each toy has its own special part it can play, like a toy car that can go vroom-vroom or a puzzle that you have to put together? Well, imagine a toy box for grown-ups that helps their computers run smoothly.

Now, imagine that instead of toys, the box has little programs inside that tell the computer what to do. When the computer needs to do something, like talk to the internet or save a file, it takes one of the programs out of the toy box and uses it to complete the task.

But, just like with toys, sometimes the programs get old or break and need to be replaced. This is where the redox toy box comes in handy! It has lots of spare parts that the grown-ups can use to fix or replace the programs that are no longer working.

Now, the grown-ups have a toy box full of everything they need to help their computers run smoothly, making them happy and productive. And that's what Redox is all about – a toy box full of programs that help grown-ups run their computers better!
