Redshirts (Italy)
Redshirts were a group of people in Italy a long time ago who wore red shirts to show that they wanted to fight for their country to be united. Just like superheroes that wear a certain costume, the redshirts wore a red shirt as their superhero outfit. They wanted to join all the separate parts of Italy into one big country called Italy, just like puzzle pieces fit together.
People in Italy spoke different languages and had different rulers, which made it hard for them to feel like they were all part of the same country. The redshirts were tired of being divided and wanted to make Italy one big happy family.
So, they started to march and fight for their cause. However, it wasn't easy, as some people didn't want to join the group and others didn't want their rulers to give up their power.
