Reefer (container)

A reefer container is like an extra-big lunchbox that helps keep food and other things cold. Just like your lunchbox has a special place to put your ice pack, the reefer container has a special machine that keeps the inside of the container really chilly.

People use reefer containers to transport things like fruits, vegetables, and meat in big ships, trains or trucks. This is a good thing because when we store these things for too long, they can get bad because of germs and bacteria. But because the reefer container is really cold, it stops the germs and bacteria from growing so that the food stays fresh and healthy for us to eat.

The reefer container is really important because it helps people move food from one place to another without it going bad.
