Rejection of evolution by religious groups

Religious groups don't believe in evolution because they don't think it fits in with the stories from their religion. Some religious people believe that God created the world and all the creatures in it, just like it said in the bible, and think that evolution conflicts with that. They don't believe in the idea of natural selection or the idea that all species evolved from a single ancestor, or that humans evolved from earlier animals.
