ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Anti-intellectualism

Anti-intellectualism means that some people don't like smart people or ideas that are too complicated for them to understand easily. It's like when you're playing with your toys and you just want to play with the ones you already know how to use without trying to learn new ones.

It's not good to be anti-intellectual though, because it can keep us from learning important things and making new discoveries. It's like if you never try to learn new things, you might miss out on something really cool or helpful. So it's important to keep an open mind and be willing to learn new things, even if they seem difficult at first.
