Affirmative action

Affirmative action is a way for groups who have been treated unfairly in the past to have a better chance of success now. It means that in some cases, members of these groups can get chosen for jobs, to go to college, and other opportunities even if they aren't the best person for the job. This helps those groups that have been historically disadvantaged have a better chance of success.
