ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Relative hour

Okay kiddo, so you know how we use clocks to tell time? And we have 24 hours in a day, right? But sometimes we want to talk about a specific time that's not right now. So we use something called a relative hour.

A relative hour is when we talk about a specific hour that's not the current hour, but it's relative to the current hour. For example, if it's 2:00 pm right now and we say something happened "two hours ago", we mean it happened at 12:00 pm.

See, we use the current hour as a reference point, and then we count the hours forward or backward from that point. It's like playing a game where you have to find something by following clues – the relative hour is the clue that tells you when something happened or will happen.

So the next time someone tells you "see you in two hours", you'll know that means two hours after the current hour. Cool, huh?
