Religious assimilation

Religious assimilation is what happens when one group of people change their beliefs to be more like another group of people. It typically happens when one group moves to a new area that has a different set of beliefs. For example, when a group of people from a country where most people follow the Christian religion, move to a country where most people follow the Muslim religion, they might start to change their beliefs so they are more like the Muslims in the new country. They might start worshipping in a different way, following different rules, or even changing the way they dress.
