ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Religious identity

Hey there kiddo, do you know what religion is? It's a way of believing in a higher power or god. Some people believe in one god, while others may believe in many gods.

Religious identity means the way a person identifies themselves based on their religion. For example, if someone is a Christian, they identify themselves as a Christian and may go to church, read the Bible, and follow the teachings of Jesus.

People can choose their religious identity or they may inherit it from their family or cultural background. So, just like your name or favorite color, religious identity is a part of who we are.

However, it's important to remember that people may have different beliefs and that's okay. It's important to respect each other's religious identity and not judge or discriminate against them because of it. After all, we all want to be treated kindly and fairly!
