ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Koinonia

Koinonia is a special word that comes from the Bible and it means "community" or "fellowship". This word is used to talk about people who are all friends and they take care of each other. Just like when you have friends over to play and you all have fun together, that's like koinonia! It's when people come together and care for one another like a big family.

When people have koinonia, they share everything they have, like their toys or food. They talk to each other when they need help or when something is bothering them. They also support each other when one of them is going through a tough time. Just like how your mommy and daddy take care of you, koinonia is when people take care of each other.

Sometimes, people might go to church or a special group to have koinonia. This is because everyone in the group has the same beliefs and they want to learn more together. But koinonia can happen anywhere, with anyone, even outside of church! It's all about being a good friend and helping others feel loved.
