Remembrance Day is a day when we remember and show gratitude to all the brave soldiers who died fighting for our freedom.
Many, many years ago, many countries around the world were fighting in a big war called World War I. So many people died and it was a really sad time for everyone. Every year on November 11, we take a moment to remember and thank all of the soldiers who fought in that war, and all the other wars since then.
We wear red poppies on this day to show that we care and want to remember. We also have special ceremonies where we sing songs, say prayers, and sometimes have a minute of silence to honor those who fought for our country.
It's a time to show respect and gratitude for the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country, so that we can live in peace and freedom today.
