ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Reminiscence bump

A reminiscence bump is when a person remembers more events and details of their life during the period of time between the ages of 10-30 than any other period. This is because during this time, the brain is very active in taking in and storing information. This period is when we are learning the most and experiences some of the most significant life changes, so our brains store these memories more strongly. Even when we get older, we may still remember things from this period more than anything else.
