ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Remote dispensing

Remote dispensing is like having a robot helper that can give you your medicine when you need it, even if you are not at the pharmacy. This is especially useful for people who live far away from a pharmacy or have trouble getting around.

Here's how it works: a pharmacist loads medicine into a machine that is connected to a computer. When you need your medicine, you can call or use a special app to let the machine know. The computer inside the machine then checks to make sure it has the right medicine and the right amount to give you. Then, the machine dispenses the medicine into a container that you can pick up.

It's just like a vending machine, except it gives you medicine instead of snacks. Remote dispensing is a safe and convenient way to get your medication, and it helps more people get the medicine they need.
