Removal from the Order of Canada

So there is this thing called the Order of Canada, which is like a big club of really important people who have done really great things for Canada. But sometimes, someone in the club does something really, really bad and people don't want them to be in the club anymore.

When this happens, the club can take away the person's membership, which is called "removing them from the Order of Canada." This means that the person can't be part of the club anymore and they can't wear the cool medal that comes with being a member of the Order of Canada.

It's like if you were in a club with your friends and someone was being really mean or doing something really wrong, you might not want them in the club anymore and you'd ask them to leave. That's kind of what it's like when someone is removed from the Order of Canada.
