Repatriation of Poles (1955–1959)

Repatriation of Poles (1955-1959) was an event that happened after World War II, when many Poles who were living in other countries had to go back to their own country - Poland. During World War II, many Poles had left their country and moved to other places because of the war, so after World War II ended, they had to go back. Polish government set up special planes and boats to take them home. They also offered food and money to help them start over when they came back. It was a very difficult time for the Poles, but it helped them to rebuild their lives in their own country.
