Repugnant battle honours of the Indian Army

Well kiddo, the Indian Army is a group of soldiers who protect our country from bad guys who want to hurt us. When the soldiers do something really brave and important in a battle, they get something called a battle honor. It's like a gold star or a special sticker we get for doing a good job in school.

But some of these battle honors are really bad and make people feel upset and angry. These are called repugnant battle honors, which means they are really dirty and mean. They remind people of things that should not happen in a good world where everyone is happy and safe.

Some of these repugnant battle honors were given to the Indian Army for things they did in the past that were cruel and hurtful to people. We don't use them anymore because we know it's not right to hurt others, especially if they are not hurting us.

Now, the Indian Army is working hard to be a better and more compassionate army that fights for the safety and happiness of everyone, not just themselves. They are taking away these bad battle honors and making sure they never happen again.
