Reputation capital

Have you ever heard the phrase "your reputation precedes you?" It means that people already have an opinion about you based on what they've heard, seen, or experienced with you. Reputation capital is kind of like that, except it's about how much other people trust and respect you.

Just like how you might have a piggy bank where you save your allowance, your reputation capital is like a "trust bank" where people "deposit" or "withdraw" trust and respect from you based on your actions and behaviors.

Every time you do something helpful, honest or kind, it adds a little bit to your reputation capital. Think of it like putting a penny in your trust bank. But if you do something hurtful, dishonest, or unkind, it takes some of that trust and respect out of your bank.

Having a lot of reputation capital means people are more likely to believe you when you say something, listen to your opinions, and want to work with you. It's like having more money in your piggy bank, which means you can buy more things or do more fun stuff.

But just like a piggy bank, reputation capital takes time and effort to build up. It can be difficult to regain if you lose it, so it's important to be mindful of your actions and how they may affect other people's perceptions of you.
