ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Research associate

A research associate is someone who helps scientists or researchers with their work. They do things like conduct experiments, collect data, analyze information, and write reports about their findings. It's kind of like being a helper to the big scientist, who is like the captain of the ship. The research associate might help the captain steer the ship, or they might help the captain record what they see on their journey. It's important work, because it helps the big scientist do their job better and learn new things about the world around us.
