Okay kiddo, so you know when we ask questions about things to learn more about them? Well, a researcher is someone who asks a lot of questions and tries to find the answers by doing experiments and studying things. They are like detectives trying to solve a mystery, but instead of solving a crime, they are trying to understand how things work. For example, they might study bugs to understand how they help plants grow, or they might study how people's brains work to learn how to make new medicines to help sick people. Researchers are very curious and ask a lot of "why" questions to help them understand the world.
