ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Reset button

A reset button is like a magic button that can make things go back to the way they were before. It's like if you accidentally mess up your drawing, you can use an eraser to reset it and start over again.

In technology, like a computer or a phone, a reset button is a special button you press when something goes wrong and you need to start over. Kind of like turning it off and then on again, but faster and easier.

When you push the reset button, the device stops what it's doing and goes back to its original settings. It's like a do-over for your device. This can be really helpful if something is not working right or if the device is frozen and won't do anything.

But remember, just like with the eraser on your drawing, pressing the reset button means you will lose anything you were working on or didn't save. So always be sure to save your work before pushing the reset button!
