Rhinoceroses in ancient China
Okay, so a long, long time ago in China, there were these really big animals called rhinoceroses. They had a really tough skin that looked like armor and a horn on their nose that was really strong and could be used for lots of things like defending themselves or digging for food.
People back then thought the rhinoceros was really special because of their strength and abilities. They believed that the rhinoceros horn had special powers and could cure all sorts of illnesses and diseases.
Because of this, people would hunt the rhinoceros so they could get their horns and use them for medicine. Unfortunately, this led to a lot of rhinoceroses becoming endangered and even extinct in some areas.
So, we learned that it's not always good to use animals just for their parts, because it can harm the environment and the animals themselves. That's why we need to make sure we protect and take care of all the animals in the world, even the ones as big and strong as the rhinoceros.
