Rhodesia was a country in Africa that used to exist from 1965 to 1980. It was named after a British explorer named Cecil Rhodes who wanted to create an African empire. The country was mostly made up of white people, while black people made up most of the country's population. The white people had more power and privileges than the black people, which made it an unfair system that was eventually ended by the leaders of the country coming together to write a new constitution that allowed everyone to be treated equally.
