Richard Jewell

Richard Jewell was a security guard in the United States who was wrongly accused of being the person responsible for a bombing at a large music concert. On July 27, 1996, he was working at the event when a bomb went off and killed two people and injured many more. He quickly responded to the emergency, warning people to leave the area, and ultimately helped prevent more injuries and deaths. After the authorities identified him as a suspect, he was investigated and interviewed extensively, but no evidence was ever found linking him to the crime. He was then cleared of any wrongdoing and was later found to be innocent. Jewell was a hero during the event and the controversy around his wrongful accusation was the subject of the 2019 movie Richard Jewell.
