ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Richardson iteration

Richardson iteration is a special way of solving math problems. In the math problem, you have a set of equations with different numbers. The Richardson Iteration takes each of those numbers and uses them to come up with a new number that is closer to the answer of your math problem. It does this over and over, each time getting closer and closer to the answer, until it finds the exact answer.
