ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rigid rotor

A rigid rotor is a machine or device with a spinning part that is stiff or rigid and doesn't move or bend when it spins. Think of a windmill, where the blades (the spinner parts) don't move when the wind blows as an example. The spinning part can be made from metal, plastic, rubber, or other materials, but it's usually stiff or rigid so it doesn't move or bend when it spins. The spinning part is connected to a power source like an electric motor so that it can spin quickly and create the force or energy needed for the machine or device.
