ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ripple effect

Ripple effect is like a rock being dropped into a lake. When the rock is dropped, it makes little circles or ripples that spread out from the spot where it was dropped. The ripple effect is when one event or action causes another thing to happen, which causes other things to happen too. It's like a chain reaction of events that happens because of one event or action. For example, if a person buys a car, the car dealer might get more money and hire more people. Those people might now be able to buy a house in the town, which then might cause the town's economy to improve. The ripple effect!
