Hello there, little friend! Today we are going to talk about something called Risk and Safety Statements.
When you do something, like ride a bike or play outside, there are sometimes things that can happen that might hurt you. These things are called "risks". For example, riding your bike without a helmet is a risk because if you fall off your bike, you could hurt your head.
To help keep you safe, grown-ups use something called Risk and Safety Statements. These are just sentences that tell you what the risks are and how to be safe. They are usually written on signs or labels.
For example, if you go to a pool, there might be a sign that says "No Running". This is a risk and safety statement. It means that if you run on the wet pool deck, you could slip and fall and hurt yourself. So the sign tells you to walk instead.
Another example is when you see a label on a bottle of medicine that says "Keep Out of Reach of Children". This is also a risk and safety statement. It means that the medicine could be dangerous if you take it without a grown-up helping you. So the label tells you to keep it away from you so no accidents happen.
So, little one, always pay attention to these Risk and Safety Statements to help keep yourself safe and happy!
