Riverfront

A riverfront is an area next to a river. It's like the backyard of the river. People can go to the riverfront to play, to have picnics, to go fishing, or to even build their houses. It's a really nice place to be because the water in the river is usually moving and makes a calming sound. Sometimes, cities will build parks and sidewalks along the riverfront, so people can walk or bike along the edge of the river. It's important to keep the riverfront clean and healthy so the animals that live in and around the river can continue to live there, and people can safely use it for activities.
