Road

A road is like a big, wide pathway that cars and trucks drive on to go from one place to another. It's made out of a hard material like concrete or asphalt, so it's strong enough to support the weight of heavy vehicles. Roads usually have different parts, like lanes and shoulders. Lanes are where cars drive and they are separated by lines on the road, while the shoulder is the space on the side of the road. The road also has different signs and symbols painted on it that tell drivers where to go or what to watch out for. People walk or bike or even skateboard on the side of the road sometimes, but it's important to be careful and stay on the sidewalk or bike lane if there is one. Roads can be really helpful for getting us from one place to another quickly and easily, but we always need to be safe and follow the rules so we don't have any accidents.
