Roasted grain beverage

You know how when we make hot chocolate, we mix cocoa powder with milk or water to make a delicious drink? There's another kind of drink that grown-ups like, called roasted grain beverage.

It's made from grains like barley or wheat that have been roasted (kind of like when we cook marshmallows over a fire) until they're brown and crispy. Then, those roasted grains are ground up into a powder.

When you want a cup of roasted grain beverage, you put some of that powder into hot water and stir it up. It smells kind of like coffee, but it doesn't taste the same. Some people like roasted grain beverage because it's caffeine-free, which means it doesn't make you feel hyper like some other drinks can. It's just a warm, comforting drink that tastes good and makes you feel cozy.
