ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Robot ethics

Robot ethics is the study of what is right and wrong when it comes to robots. It is about making sure that robots are programmed to do things that are safe and helpful for people and not to do things that might hurt people or damage the environment. Robots are different from people because they do not have feelings, so it is important to think carefully about what tasks robots should be allowed to do, and what rules should be put in place to make sure robots follow them. For example, it might be important to make sure that a robot does not run into people or cause damage when moving around. It might also be important to make sure robots do not share personal data or do other things that harm people's privacy.
