ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rogen moraine

Okay kiddo, let me explain what a rogen moraine is in a way that you can understand.

Imagine a big, heavy ice cube moving slowly across the ground. This is called a glacier. As the glacier moves, it picks up all sorts of rocks, dirt, and debris from the ground.

Eventually, the glacier melts away and leaves behind all of the rocks and debris it picked up. This big pile of rocks and debris is called a moraine.

Now, a rogen moraine is a special type of moraine that looks like a series of curved ridges. These ridges form because of the way that the ice was moving when it picked up the rocks and debris.

So basically, a rogen moraine is a big pile of rocks and debris left behind by a glacier, but it's special because it looks like a bunch of rounded ridges. Cool, huh?
