Roman Polytheistic Reconstructionism

Imagine a time a long, long time ago, where people believed that there were many gods who controlled different parts of the world. These people would pray to the gods, give them offerings, and celebrate festivals in their honor. This is called polytheism.

The Romans were one of these groups of people who believed in many gods. They had gods for basically everything you could think of, like Jupiter (the king of the gods), Mars (the god of war), Venus (the goddess of love), and many more.

Now fast forward to today, people who practice Roman polytheistic reconstructionism also believe in these gods and try to recreate the way the Romans worshipped them. They read old texts and try to follow the rituals and customs that the Romans did in order to honor their gods.

Think of it like trying to time travel back to ancient Rome and live like the people did back then. It's like an exciting adventure to these people who want to connect with the past and learn about the religion of ancient Rome.
